CASE STUDY
When JRF were asked to extend an existing diesel generator exhaust system for a long-standing customer on a recent large commercial project in Edinburgh, they chose the SFL Europa® twin wall stainless steel system.
JRF were delighted to be chosen to design, supply and install their solution for this large project in Edinburgh. Along with SFL they were asked to carry out a site survey and recommend a solution to improve the existing exhaust system, the current discharge location was causing issues with air quality for the higher surrounding buildings.

Established in February 1983, as a family run business now in its third generation, JRF are one of our turnkey partners when it comes to the design, supply and installation of SFL chimney products for their client base throughout the UK.
JRF’s team successfully installed 600mm SFL Europa Chimney materials to extend the existing generator exhaust system, to allow safe discharge above the higher adjacent buildings.
By relocating the termination location to ensure it discharged above the higher adjacent buildings, JRF successfully enhanced the safety and efficiency of the system as a whole, while ensuring compliance with the Clean Air Act requirements.
Twin Wall Flue System
EUROPA PLUS is a high specification, high-pressure twin wall exhaust system capable of withstanding temperatures up to 1000 Deg C and positive pressures up to 15KPa. EUROPA PLUS is used on a variety of appliances ranging from coffee roasting machines to backup generators.
