Flue Systems For Unitary Radiant Heaters
High-level gas-fuelled radiant tube heaters are an efficient way to provide space heating and spot occupancy heating in much taller commercial and industrial buildings. Although in an application where spot heating is specified the heaters can be installed unflued with the necessary high- and low-level ventilation, in the majority of modern installations
Unitary Radiant Tube Heaters have individual flues exiting vertically through the roof. In applications where the heaters are wall-mounted, they usually exhaust horizontally through the wall.
With the latest “black globe” radiant thermostats, the radiant tube in shot burner will have enhanced high/low or modulating control to minimise fuel consumption, this could in certain instances produce exhaust products condensation within the flue.
