Serving a critical facility, an ageing multiple steam boiler plant had reached the end of its serviceable life. The existing chimney system was not only impractical to repair but also economically unviable. After thorough investigations, it was decided to replace the external installation with a modern system. The solution called for a new supporting mast and chimney system.

Our NOVA® Twin Wall Flue System was installed at an impressive 17m height, replacing an ageing and corroded system. The new installation comprises 3 x 300mm Dia pipes, servicing three 41-year-old Hoval steam boilers, with a customised connection onto a 17m mast. This upgrade ensures safe, reliable operation in the harsh conditions required by steam boilers.

SFL’s NOVA® twin wall flue system was specified, with full technical details calculated to ensure compatibility with the new supporting mast and civil groundworks.

The result was the successful installation of a triple vertical 17m, 300mm Dia NOVA® chimney system and supporting mast. The system now provides the existing Hoval steam boilers with many more years of reliable, efficient service.
