SFL shortlisted in the H&V News Awards! SFL Flue & Chimneys are delighted to announce that their NEXUS® Twin Wall Flue System has been shortlisted for the H&V News Awards 2024 “Domestic Heating Product of the Year – Component or Peripheral.

This year marks the 30th edition of the H&V News Awards, which continue to serve as the most prestigious of awards on the H&V calendar.

SFL Flue & Chimneys are delighted to announce that their NEXUS® Twin Wall Flue System has been shortlisted for the H&V News Awards 2024 “Domestic Heating Product of the Year – Component or Peripheral.

We look forward to joining the industries finest at the awards ceremony on the 28th of November  at the Hilton Metropole In central London to celebrate the pinacle of innovation and achievement within our industry.

The innovation evident in the NEXUS® is threefold.

1. Quick-Fit Jointing System

The new NEXUS® Quick-Fit Jointing System offers around a 45%-time savings in comparison to assembling a conventional locking band. The NEXUS® low profile factory-fitted locking band makes the installation simpler and more efficient it also minimizes the risk of scratching the pipe during the fitting process.

2. Twist-Lock Technology

NEXUS® offers a unique design and advanced features for a more efficient and reliable installation. The unique 8-barb design creates a superior jointing system which also protects the insulation from moisture ingress. This new joint is so strong, it can even support up to 2.5 meters free-standing above the last support making it ideal for installations within single-story extensions. 

3. Easy-Fit Starter Lengths

NEXUS® includes an easy-fit starter length – a 3-in-1 component that’s installer-friendly. An appliance adaptor, a short adjustable inner (designed to meet HETAS compliance), and a straight length, making it incredibly versatile. The inner skin can even double as a test point if necessary. Additionally, the outer shroud sits just above the appliance, resulting in a modern, clean connection between your appliance and the chimney system. This all-in-one component offers maximum convenience without compromise.
