IL Twin Wall – Air Gap Insulated Flue System From SFL

SFL continue to manufacture and supply industry standard IL flue from our facility in the UK.

4”, 5” & 6” diameters are available along with complementary fittings, adjustable bends and terminals.

SFL IL is a twin wall UK manufactured gas vent system comprising of a range of straight length pipes with associated fittings and accessories. Construction is made using an aluminium liner protected by an outer casing of “Zalutite” having corrosion resistance provided by a 50/50 mix of zinc and aluminium.

Insulation is provided by an air gap between the inner and outer casings ensuring a strong draft on appliance start up and minimal condensation. The low outer casing temperature permits installation with a 50mm clearance from combustible materials.

Pipe and fitting mechanically twist lock together to ensure both a rigid and strong system chimney easing site installation and product longevity.

Ideally used for domestic and small commercial or industrial appliances rated less than 75kW, IL is certified for use where flue gas temperatures do not exceed 250 Deg C with zero or negative pressure in the flue and is suitable for internal vertical installation and external vertical termination using either a gas vent terminal or ridge tile adaptor.

Typically, SFL IL uses include domestic atmospheric burner appliances, gas fires, unitary radiant tube heaters and non-condensing warm air heaters.
